One more day

And it’s going to be really fun starting all the stuff tomorrow. NaNoWriMo, NaBloPoMo, and I’m probably going to have to take James to the doctor in the morning. Joy.

I got a call from the school nurse this morning, and she told me that he was having a pain in the neck (as opposed to being one, I suppose), and could I come and get him? Since the only wheels I have right now are attached to pedals, I said I’d try to get a ride up there to pick him up.

Called Mom, and she gave me a ride, though it took her a little bit to get here, even though she only lives a quarter of a mile away, tops - the county is putting a culvert into the ditch on her street, and they had the road closed off just on her block. At least they’ll be done with that, one hopes, and have moved up the road a bit by this weekend.

Mom and Dad are going out of town until Saturday, and they always rent a car when they do, so I’ll probably be nominated as car caretaker (would that be cartaker?) until they get back, as I don’t have a mode of transport of my own. If so, I’ll take James to the doctor in the morning if his neck is still bothering him.

So, I guess I’ll lug a notebook and a pen along with me to the doctor’s office, just in case.
