It’s getting close to time
I’ve done just about everything BUT think of what I’m going to write about for NaNoWriMo. Maybe that’s good, I haven’t spent the last month obsessing about the story, which always seems to turn into a major pain in the butt for me. I even made a brand new neighborhood in Sims 2, completely from scratch. I’m talking, I deleted the characters folder so I had to remake all the townies and NPCs - totally from scratch. I still have a bunch of things I want to do with the ‘hood, but I’m about simmed out at the moment, so maybe it’s a good thing that I got it temporarily out of my system. But it’s so worth it not to have the same old assbasket townies as every other neighborhood.
I may need to rethink the whole “post in the blog when I wake up” thing though. I’m feeling kind of zombified at the moment, and I mean the Night of the Living Dead type zombie, not the 28 Days Later type. Maybe if I ate some brains, I’d be a little better.
Anyway, after I get Sara on the bus this morning, I think I’ll be going back to bed. That’s probably not the wisest course of action, but at least I can be sure that I won’t sleep for very long if I do.
Mornings like this really suck, though. I was having a dream when the alarm went off, and I snooze-tagged and caught a little more of it, but I doubt it’ll come back to me if I go back to bed after being up a couple of hours. And it wasn’t a particularly good dream, mind you, but as far as dreams go, it was interesting. I’m probably one of the few people I know who actually like having nightmares. This one had something to do with catching a guy who was bashing people to death with a shovel, and when I finally found him, I discovered that the people he was bashing weren’t actual people; they were some kind of aliens or monsters or something.
Anyway, the rest of the dream has escaped me and I doubt I’ll be able to have it again so I can fully recapture its coolness.
